Bath City Farm
Women are invited
to spend time together in an outdoor sheltered environment, to take part in the activities alongside their children or relax beside the fire. During non-Covid times feasts and celebrations take place in all weathers!
The Allotment Club invites men, women and children in the community to take part in growing vegetables or flowers in the allotment. Some keen gardening dads are planning to teach the children to garden. This year we grew beans, peas, tomatoes, squash and potatoes.
The aim is for the families to feel positive, connected, supported and physically tired at the end of the day, this translates as: a happy day out.
Positive
Trauma is something that we hold in our bodies. Nature is a comforting place to be and our bodies are able to use it to help recovery from difficult experiences. Wild Woodland Workshops are a therapeutic version of forest school and contribute to the children's sense of belonging both to their community and to this land. City Farm is open to all and we are delighted to be able to use it to offer this opportunity.
Sometimes nature can begin the healing process unnoticed, quietly comforting our hearts.
